From the Winery’s Blurb:

Keswick Vineyards, located at Edgewood, is a gracious Virginia estate encompassing 400 rolling acres of farm and woodland rich in history. The land was part of the original 1727 Nicholas Meriwether Crown Grant that encompassed nearly 18,000 acres on the east side of the Southwest Mountains.

Lush grounds and magnificent views of the vineyards and mountains will surround your guests as they witness your ceremony, gather around the pool for cocktails or under our tent for a grand reception for up to 200 guests.

Tasting / Visiting:

Tasting Room Hours: 9am to 5pm daily (excluding major holidays). Tasting fee is $5. Reserve tasting is $8.

Our Visit:

We last visited Keswick in August 2011.

Keswick’s vineyard map looks like a viticultural jigsaw puzzle. A little Syrah here, a bit of Verdejo there, with Viognier and Norton providing the big central anchoring pieces. The grape variety is impressive, but the output is tightly controlled: the vineyard’s philosophy is high quality, low quantity.

That same quality-conscious approach shows up in how Keswick builds customer relationships, as well. Want a nice casual outdoor tasting for your group, with the wine maker? Or maybe something a little more upscale in the cellar? Better yet, how about if the winemaker comes to you? They do it all.

Or bring your pooch. Yappy Hours are every Sunday while the weather is nice with special discounts on wine for you and water & treats for your dog. Animal rescue groups bring pets in for adoption on some Sundays as well.

Kids welcome; weddings and private parties; parking for RVs and buses.

The Wines: When we visited, the winery was tasting …

Pinot gris, several viogniers, touriga, cabernet franc, Heritage (meritage blend), Norton Chocolate Sauce.
