Our Visit:

Cooper has been pouring well-constructed, great tasting wines out of a cute little tasting room/kitchen/gift shop for years, but popularity has forced a re-look at how they’re doing business.

In 2011, the operation moved across the field to a massive new LEED-certified building with inside/outside tasting bars (plus a private tasting room), art exhibits in an upstairs gallery, and a huge deck overlooking the vineyards.

The recycle/conserve message is everywhere – even in the “111 Navy Chairs” on the deck (I had to look that one up). We expect (hope) the wine will stay the same.

Bring your picnic baskets; pets are welcome; kids can quietly romp; RVs have a home.

Wines include Chardonnay, the Coopertage Blanc  blend of Chardonnay and Viognier, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, the Coopertage blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, plus Norton, Petit Verdot and sweet wines, including Rhapsody (blend of Vidal Blanc, Chardonnel and Viognier), Vida (Vidal Blanc ice wine), Sweet Louisa (blend of Norton, Concord, and Merlot), and the celebrated Noche (chocolate dessert wine).
