Our Visit:

“There is much to take in at Chateau Morrisette: the Southern-style food and scenic view at the restaurant, the free live music on Sunday afternoons (June – October), weekly events including mystery dinners and beach parties, the huge gift shop, the rambling gardens.

And then there’s the wine (oh, right…winery!). The wine mix is just as varied as the entertainment, with 15 reds and 13 whites and blush. Chateau Morrisette shares the fruits of their labors with causes that range from service dogs to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation to Virginia Tech’s scholarship fund.

You may want to plan to stay a while.
