Our Visit:
Romance is stitched into the fabric of this lovely winery. The forty-acre property, purchased in 2005, included a mid-1800′s stone barn (now the tasting room), an even older log cabin, a lake, and a creek – all the iconic symbols of Virginia wine country together in one perfect place.
The winery: Groups of 8 or more are welcome, with reservations (call for rates) and parking is available for buses and RVs; kids are welcome; snacks are available for purchase and picnic areas are provided; dogs on leash can hang out here.
The wines include a Chablis-style Chardonnay, Viognier, Norton, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Winery’s Driving Directions
From Tysons Corner take Route 7 West towards Leesburg.
Merge onto US-15/VA-7 W to Warrenton/Winchester
Take the Route 9 exit toward Hillsboro. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left and cross over bridge. At stop sign turn right onto Old Route 7, East Colonial Highway.
Make the first left onto Canby Road.
Approximately 1.4 miles, Casanel Vineyards will be on your left.
From Winchester take Route 7 East. Take the Route 9 Exit.
At the and of teh exit ramp, turn right. At the stop sign turn right onto Old Route 7, East Colonial Highway.
Make the first left onto Canby Road.
Approximately 1.4 miles, Casanel Vineyards will be on your left.
