Nestled among the historic rolling hills of Halifax County, on the premises of 19th century tobacco plantation, small family owned and operated vineyard and winery. Restored 117 year old barn offers southern country wine and hospitality. Visit our expanded tasting room, gift shop, and winery. Seven Wines available: Bright Leaf White; Apple; Bright Meadows Red; Blackberry; Halifax Red; Burley Red; and our own B.A.G. Wine

Tasting fee $3. Open year round: Jan. to March by appointment;
late March through December open Wednesday – Saturday 11 – 6, Sunday 1-6, Monday & Tuesday by appointment.

“This small, century-old hay barn houses one of the tiniest tasting rooms in the state, with room enough for two at the bar.  An added-on room adds an extra 10 feet or so of space, for gifts and such.  Out back, a patio holds a couple of picnic tables, for a sip among the vines.

Situated right in the middle of the Southern Virginia Wine Trail, Bright Meadows is a nice spot for picnicking or a wander.

Weddings and private parties; pets and kids welcome; group tours; RV and bus parking.

The wines tend toward sweet, featuring Concord, Niagara, Vidal Blanc, Chambourcin, and Norton.
