At Blue Ridge Vineyard we take pride in offering handcrafted, superior-quality, small-lot, affordable wines. Combined with breath taking views, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly folks, we offer a setting to not only enjoy fine wine, but the experience as well. Our first planting in 1985 established us as one of Virginia’s first vineyards. Through the years the vineyard expanded and the vines continued to mature, creating a unique and distinctive variety of Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Traminette, and Cabernet Franc grapes.

Our Visit:

“Sitting in the old barn at Blue Ridge Vineyards on a weekday, there is no sound, save for the breeze blowing across the fields, the crickets, and the wind chimes, and a miles-wide view.

The winery is far enough from the wine trails – and, at 300 acres, vast enough – that you’ll have plenty of space to spread out.

The barn is full of whimsy: a massive bronze chandelier, 25-foot drapes, old quilts covering the tables. On the property, hiking is encouraged and dogs are welcomed.

There’s live music every weekend, in season.

At the winery: Children welcomed; doggies welcomed; private parties; picnic areas with light snacks; group tours; buses and RVs welcomed

The wines tend toward the sweet side, and include Riesling, Gewurtztraminer, and Traminette, plus Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and some red blends.

The Winery’s Driving Directions

From I81, take Rt 43 North 14 miles and turn left on Shiloh Drive. Follow the sign to Shiloh Church, the entrance is ahead 1/4 mile.

From Rt 220, take Rt 43 South 3 miles and turn right on Shiloh Drive. Follow the sign to Shiloh Church, the entrance is ahead 1/4 mile.
