“Virginia Wine In My Pocket” launched in 2011 to help visitors find their way around the beautiful backroads of Virginia wine country. Written and photographed by Rick Collier and Nancy Bauer – long-time Virginia residents, travel writers, and wine explorers – Virginia Wine in My Pocket is a website, an iPhone app, and a blog, with even more Virginia wine travel goodies in development.
The Virginia Wine in My Pocket app (for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch) includes information on all open-to-the-public Virginia wineries, GPS mapping from one winery to the next, plus photos, details on tasting fees and operating hours, and recommended inns and dining.
