Installed in an old warehouse building in downtown Luray, this TripAdvisor 5-star showcase for superb local art was launched in 2002 by artist Jim Mayes.
The Warehouse's open space is more than an art gallery--it also nourishes the creative process of a diverse group of artists and creative people of all venues, including dancers, writers, actors, musicians, and visual artists to gather, commune, perform, and share inspiration.
With its high ceilings and over 7000 square feet of floor space, the Gallery is the perfect space to display large sculptures and paintings, and currently houses more than 1,000 creative works by 90 regional artists. If you can't find what you want today, come back next week; the art is always changing.
Items include paintings, sculptures, stained and blown glass, bone sighs, pottery, jewelry, photography, turned bowls from natural wood, baskets, and painted children's furniture.
The Brown Bag Cafe is a great place to unwrap your sandwich and enjoy a contemplative lunch or chat with friends.
