The Vineyards & Winery at Lost Creek is a 50-acre boutique winery nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Virginia, 10 minutes outside of historic Leesburg.

The winemaking style is focused on Burgundy and Bordeaux style wines, heavy on French varietals including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

All grapes are hand-picked and sorted, then after de-stemming and crushing, the wines are aged in French oak barrels for 18 to 24 months. All wines from Lost Creek are produced on-site and hand crafted from 100% Virginia grapes, harvested from the estate vineyard as well as other vineyards in the Monticello Appellation just outside Charlottesville, Virginia.

Inside, an elegant, high-ceilinged tasting room features a big stone fireplace, with tables scattered about. Outside, a vine-covered pergola shades an inviting patio, where you can enjoy a wide assortment of foods, ranging from important cheese and charcuterie to Beef Burgundy and Wine Country Chicken. (Note that no outside food is permitted on  winery grounds.)

Lost Creek strives to provide a restful place to unwind and enjoy their wine, so a few rules to note: groups of more than 7 require a reservation, no smoking permitted on the property, children must be accompanied at all times, dogs on-leash on the lawn only, and no lawn games (soccer balls, kites, etc).

If you want to keep your winery tour going, Hidden Brook Winery is literally right next door.
