Quattro Goombas is a Virginia winery that buys grapes from California and Chile (as well as Virginia) to make mostly Italian-style wines. Got that?
It's a lot to wrap your head around, and if you're looking for a “traditional" Virginia wine experience, Quattro Goombas isn't the place for you; there's not a Norton, Viognier or Cabernet Franc in site.
But that doesn't mean you won't feel at home and enjoy yourself. It's a popular place.
The tasting room is a welcoming space in a log house, with a polished wood bar and fireplace, and a couple of smaller rooms for sitting. A deck off the back and a big lawn provide more options in warm weather. Visitors love the square-cut, Sicilian-style pizza, and baguettes and cheese are also available for purchase, or you can bring your own picnic.
Quattro Goombas also recently added an on-site brewery with a rotating menu of craft beers. Something for everyone at this lively spot.
Kids and pets (on leash) welcome. No groups larger than 8 for tastings. No commercial vehicles (buses, vans, or limos) allowed on the property.
