Little Washington Winery is on the edge of Shenandoah National Park at "Little" Washington, Virginia, home of the renowned Inn at Little Washington.
The winery produces small-batch artisan wines designed to pair well with food. In addition to their own wines, Little Washington winery features a "Dirt Road Wine Tour" pouring of craft wines from other states and countries; the owners guarantee "you'll never find these in a grocery store."
Two decks offer panoramic views of the Blue Ridge mountains, and energetic visitors can use the winery as a jumping-off point for hiking. A large lawn invites picnics for those who prefer more recumbent recreation.
The winery has become popular for its Foodie-U Wine School, a regular schedule of informal classes, including Wine Boot Camp, Cheeseology and more.
