Good Luck Cellars opened in 2011, adding another good reason to head to the Northern Neck for a wine-tasting weekend.
The tasting room is housed in a ranch-style building with a big wrap-around porch. A warm stone fireplace is the gathering place for smores toasting in winter.
Bring the kids and hang out on the lawn for a game of croquet or bocci.
A big, bright event space behind the tasting room is a good spot for private parties or wedding receptions. If you're lucky, you'll visit when owners Katie and Paul (the winemaker) are pouring.
The winery is producing Vignoles, a sweet Chardonel, Chardonnay, slightly sweet Vidal Blanc, Rip Rap Rose, Chambourcin, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Recent additions include Petit Verdot and a tasty Viognier.
Groups and limos welcome, but please call ahead for groups of 10 or more.
