Rick Collier's Cover Shot - August Washingtonian
Taking a break from our regular progamming for a moment to say OMG and congratulations to my husband and parter Rick Collier for his awesome shot of the Historic Long Branch Hot Air Balloon Wine and Music Festival, on the August cover of Washingtonian magazine!
That shot was captured on a cold, very early morning out near Winchester, two Octobers ago, and I drank lots of hot chocolate waiting for Rick to stop running around like some obsessed madman so we could go back to our cozy B&B, the Old Waterstreet Inn, and have our breakfast.
Who knew he’d captured a cover?
It’s October 15, 16 and 17 this year, but make your reservations now – all the nearby inns always sell out. And be sure to get there for the Glow on Friday night – balloons illluminated against the darkening sky.
Be sure to bring your camera. You never know what might happen
